How do I create a Martide account?
You can register an account here. Once you’ve registered you will be able to create your seafarer profile by adding your personal information and work history, and uploading your seafarer documents.
How much does it cost to register with Martide and create a seafarer profile?
Nothing! Martide is completely free for seafarers to use.
How do I find a job using Martide?
When you’ve created your seafarer profile you can apply for any of our maritime jobs that you are interested in through Martide. If a crew manager or manning agent thinks you will be suitable for any of their vacancies they will contact you directly. You can view current seafarer job vacancies here.
Can I track my job applications through Martide?
Yes. It’s easy to check which seafarer jobs you have applied to and been hired for on your My Jobs page. You can find out more about that here.
What type of seafarer jobs does Martide have?
Martide’s seafarer jobs board has job vacancies for officers and ratings as well as other specialist roles. Some of our maritime job vacancies currently include Ordinary and Able Seaman jobs, Oiler and Wiper jobs, Chief, Second and Third Engineer jobs, ship’s Cook jobs, Master jobs, First and Second Officer jobs and more.
What types of vessels does Martide have seafarer jobs on?
Martide’s online seafarer jobs board has job vacancies on various commercial vessels including general cargo ship jobs, container ship jobs, bulk carrier jobs, coaster vessel jobs, AHTS jobs, offshore vessel jobs, oil and chemical tanker jobs, and more.

Do you offer cadetships?
We’re sorry, but at this present time we are not offering cadetships.
Where can I send my maritime resume / CV / application to?
We do not accept applications and documents by email, or through social media, or messaging services such as WhatsApp, Line, Telegram or WeChat. We’ve made it much easier for you to apply for seafarer jobs through our website.
Can anyone apply for seafarer jobs on Martide?
We encourage anyone who is looking for a job at sea to create a seafarer profile and apply for maritime jobs via Martide. Please be aware that some employers require seafarers of certain nationalities or from specific locations, and this is not within our control. Please check the job description to see if this is the case.
How old do I have to be to apply for seafarer jobs on Martide?
The minimum age to start working as a seafarer can differ from country to country. For example, you can start working as a seafarer at age 16 in Ukraine or in India, with certain restrictions applying. In the Philippines, the minimum age is 18. We suggest you check your own country's rules to be certain.
How do I know what the requirements are for a seafarer job listed on Martide?
To find out what the job requirements are for the seafarer vacancies listed on Martide, go to the jobs page and click the Details and Apply button next to the job you are interested in. The company who created the job advert should have listed any requirements in the job description. Martide staff have no knowledge of requirements if they are not listed in the job ad.
How do I know what the requirements are for a specific seafarer rank?
Although requirements for a rank or job are generally the same, these can differ from employer to employer. Therefore Martide is not able to advise you on the skills, certificates or other requirements needed for a particular rank.
What if I haven’t heard anything about my job application?
If you have applied for a seafarer job through Martide and you haven’t heard back from the employer, please note that we are sorry, but this is not something we have any control over. If the crew manager or manning agent is interested in following up with you about your application, they will contact you directly.
What if the status of my application is 'Rejected'?
Please note that the employer or manning agent that you applied to is responsible for setting the accepted / rejected status. Martide has no input into the hiring process and you will need to contact them if you want to follow up and find out why your application was not successful.
How do I know when my medical examination is?
To check the time and date of your medical exam, please check your Martide messages and your personal email. If you don't have an email notification, please contact your Crew Manager or Manning Agent.
Why am I not getting any job offers through Martide?
To maximize your chances of a crew manager or manning agent contacting you directly about a job, make sure your profile is set to 'Public' so that they can see you are available for work. Also regularly update your profile information, including your work experience, availability status and certifications.
Does Martide have a mobile app?
Yes. We know you want to find maritime jobs, track your applications, and stay in touch with crew managers and manning agencies when you’re traveling so we created an app just for seafarers. Download it from Google Play or the Apple App Store for free.
Does Martide have a phone number or WhatsApp number?
No. We do not have a phone number or use messaging services such as WhatsApp, Line, Telegram or WeChat. All job applications must be made through our website or seafarer mobile app.
I've forgotten my password / How can I recover my account?
If you've forgotten your password and need to recover your seafarer account, please click on "Forgot Password" and you will receive instructions to reset it via email. Please note that Martide does not store passwords and we are therefore unable to recover or reset them for you.

If you’re having any issues with using any of Martide’s features and functions, you can find easy to follow, step-by-step guides to using all aspects of our platform for seafarers here. The Support team is not able to answer questions about job applications or contracts.
