You can create a Martide account when you apply for a job on our website. Click the Details & Apply button next to the job you want to apply for, then the Apply Now button on the job advert and then fill in the short form to create a seafarer account.
How much does it cost to register with Martide and create a seafarer profile?
Nothing! Martide is completely free for seafarers to use.
How do I find a job using Martide?
When you’ve created your account and filled out your seafarer profile and uploaded your documents, you can then quickly apply for any of the maritime jobs you are interested by clicking the Apply button. Your application will be sent directly to the crew manager or manning agent. If they think you will be suitable for any their vacancy they will contact you directly.
Can I track my job applications through Martide?
Yes. It’s easy to check which seafarer jobs you have applied to and been hired for on your Jobs page.
What type of seafarer jobs does Martide have?
Martide's seafarer jobs board has job vacancies for officers and ratings as well as other specialist roles. Can anyone apply for seafarer jobs on Martide?
Yes, but please be aware that some employers require seafarers of certain nationalities or from specific locations, and this is not within our control. Please check the job description to see if this is the case.
How old do I have to be to apply for seafarer jobs on Martide?

To find out what the job requirements are for the seafarer vacancies listed on Martide, go to the jobs page and click on the job listing you are interested in. The company who created the job advert should have listed any requirements in the job description. Martide staff have no knowledge of requirements if they are not listed in the job ad.
How do I know what the requirements are for a specific seafarer rank?
Although requirements for a rank or job are generally the same, these can differ from employer to employer. Therefore Martide is not able to advise you on the skills, certificates or other requirements needed for a particular rank.
What if I haven’t heard anything about my job application?
If you have applied for a seafarer job through Martide and you haven’t heard back from the employer, please note that we are sorry, but this is not something we have any control over. If the crew manager or manning agent is interested in following up with you about your application, they will contact you directly.
How will I be paid for my work as a seafarer?
How and when you will be paid will be in the terms of the contract you signed with your employer or manning agency. If there is anything you are not clear about, please speak to them directly as Martide is not involved in payments.
Why am I not getting any job offers through Martide?
To maximize your chances of a crew manager or manning agent contacting you directly about a job, make sure your profile is set to 'Public' so that they can see you are available for work. Also regularly update your profile information, including your work experience, availability status and certifications.
Does Martide have a phone number or WhatsApp number?
No. We do not have a phone number or use messaging services such as WhatsApp, Line, Telegram or WeChat. All job applications must be made through our website.
Can I apply as a walk-in?
No, we do not accept walk-in applications. This is because the jobs listed on our website are posted by other companies. If you are interested in any of the vacancies listed on Martide, please visit the jobs page and apply there.
