Is Martide disappearing completely?
Martide’s software service is being separated into two products.
The crew management part of Martide will now be known as Martide Crew Manager, while the public seafarer jobs and the seafarer database are moving to ProSeafarers.
Is Martide Crew Manager new software?
No. Martide Crew Manager is the existing Martide crew management system under its new name. Your existing crewing workflows and data will remain.
Is ProSeafarers the same as Martide?
No. ProSeafarers is a new jobs-focused website designed to make searching and applying for seafarer vacancies simpler.
I received an email about this change. Is it real?
Yes. Emails about this change are sent from [email protected] (Martide Crew Manager) and [email protected] (ProSeafarers). If you are unsure about an email, do not click any links. Contact us at one of these addresses and we will confirm it for you.
If I update my information in one system, will it update in the other?
No. Martide Crew Manager and ProSeafarers are separate systems, and they do not sync.
Seafarers: if you update your profile or documents in ProSeafarers, the change will not appear in Martide Crew Manager, and the other way round. Update both if a company asks you to.
Companies: if you find a candidate on ProSeafarers and want to manage them in Martide Crew Manager, you will need to add them to Martide Crew Manager yourself.
For Companies
Can companies advertise jobs in both Martide Crew Manager and ProSeafarers?
Yes. Companies can use their Martide Crew Manager application page when they want to control the recruitment process and collect required documents before progressing candidates.
They can also use ProSeafarers when they want their vacancy to be publicly discoverable and receive quicker applications from a wider pool of seafarers.
Will my existing public jobs disappear?
No. Existing public vacancies will be copied to ProSeafarers during the transition. They will be saved as drafts. Seafarers cannot see them or apply until you sign in to ProSeafarers and publish them.
Will my whole team have access to ProSeafarers?
Not automatically. We set up ProSeafarers access for your company’s account owners only. Account owners can invite other team members after signing in.
Do crew managers need to move their seafarers?
No. Seafarers already linked to your company remain within Martide Crew Manager.
I hired a seafarer through ProSeafarers. How do I manage them in Martide Crew Manager?
You will need to create an account for the seafarer in Martide Crew Manager yourself. A seafarer you hire through ProSeafarers is not added to Martide Crew Manager automatically, and their ProSeafarers profile and documents are not copied there.
Is ProSeafarers free for companies?
Your ProSeafarers account includes a free trial so you can try the new service.
For Seafarers
I'm a seafarer. Do I need to create a new ProSeafarers profile?
It depends on how your Martide account was created:
If you created your own Martide account, no. We have copied your profile to ProSeafarers for you. Sign in with the same email address you used for Martide.
If a company added you to Martide, yes. Your profile has not been copied. Go to ProSeafarers and create a free profile with your email address.
Can I create a new Martide Crew Manager account?
No. Seafarers can no longer sign up to Martide Crew Manager. Accounts are created by the crew manager or manning agent you work with.
To look for new jobs, create a free profile on ProSeafarers.
Why can I still access my seafarer profile in Martide Crew Manager if jobs have moved to ProSeafarers?
Some seafarers need continued access because they are currently employed by, or have history with, a crew manager or manning agent who uses Martide Crew Manager software.
You can continue using your Martide Crew Manager account for your existing company relationships while using ProSeafarers to look for new work.
If the company that added you has left Martide Crew Manager, and no other company in Martide Crew Manager works with you, your Martide account has been deleted. You can still create a free ProSeafarers profile to look for new jobs.
What happens if my ProSeafarers profile is hidden?
You can still search and apply for jobs. However, companies will not be able to find your profile or contact you about potential work unless you make it visible.
Will I need a ProSeafarers password?
No. Enter your email address into the ProSeafarers website and we will send you a secure sign-in link.
